The really important thing about 01/11/10 is that Lazlo turned two. Being a cautious young fellow, for the preceding few weeks, whenever we mentioned it, he would sternly say, "No two," but upon finding it involved cake and candle blowing, he decided it was acceptable. Very funny.

I don't think I even noticed 10/11/01 when it occurred. (I had some other things on my mind at the time...)

I think I got rid of it---hopefully for good. After removing all sorts of suspicious stuff and scanning my hard drive with several different sweepers, I feel comfortable dipping a toe into the online waters from my computer for the first time in 36 hours. I'll keep updating and scanning and with any luck it'll never come back. I have to say that McAfee seemed pretty impotent. It was freebie anti-malware programs that finally took care of the problem.

I've had to repel one called false alert several times in the past ten days that tries to launch only when I'm in Yahoo Groups. My Webroot spysweeper usually picks it up but Macafee did once also.Other times it doesn't even get that far as I close the page right away.It seems you have to actually click on the link that trys to make you think you are infected.
