		<description>Great post. I think the merchants are shooting themselves in the foot. I will continue to patronage my favorite restaurants despite whatever inconvenience the parking increase affords.

You don&#039;t have to go to Walnut Creek to shop at a mall.  I shop a lot at Alameda&#039;s Towne Center.  Parking is free but I would happily pay to park where parking is not a hassle and where I can satisfy multiple errands in one stop.

For me, it&#039;s as far to the TC as to Grand Lake.

My avoidance of Grand Lake is less about parking, which is dreadful, and more for the crying need for police traffic control.  The tail gating, getting cut off and sudden illegal u-turns keep me out away.</description>
